All mobility participants are accommodated in the dormitory of the Nikola Tesla Serbian Gymnasium in Budapest, which is very close to the school itself.
The first day started with a cultural program led by Natalija Tomić, a high school student. Then the coordinator of the project in Budapest, Marina Remeli, and the deputy director, Kristina Bekić, welcomed all the participants. A short cultural program followed by: the school’s folklore ensemble, guitar and violin. Then they toured the school, saw the assembly hall and made sure that the physics and chemistry cabinet was well equipped.
In the library, the participants refreshed themselves and tried traditional Serbian gibanica. They were sweetened with a cake decorated to represent this project.
All schools participating in the project presented their country, their city, and the students also presented themselves.
This was followed by the Erasmus+ activity “Get to know us”, where two high school students, Natalija Tomić and Jana Šošić, presented Hungary, Budapest and the high school. Then the hosts checked the “knowledge” of the participants through a Kahoot quiz. A student from Serbia, Milana Stijelja, showed the best knowledge and won first place.
After lunch in the school cafeteria, a tour of Buda followed: Taban quarter, Castel, Mathias Church, Fisherman Bastion. They went there by bus, the return was by subway, which was also an opportunity for the participants to learn something and get to know Budapest and beyond.
In the evening, the students had a party at the school after dinner, while a dinner was organized for the teachers in the restaurant with typical Hungarian music and folk dances. Great start of the fourth mobility of the project “Measure me up!”
Teachers-coordinators have meeting 23.9.2022. where we passed the work plan for the next period.
As a last preparations for our fourth mobility of students and teachers in Budapest (Hungary) we had online meeting between teachers and students where the host presented school, city and program. Also we use this meeting for students to introduce themselves and get to know each other a little.
That the students take their preparations seriously is evidenced by the fact that we also had attendees from cars.
Online meeting which was organized 14.10.2022 by coordinator from Hungary Marina Aleksandrić Remeli. First hosts presented their school, city and what we will doing during visit in Romania (schedule) then all students introduce themselves then students from Romania. 7 teachers and 24 students attended the meeting.
As a last preparations for our third mobility of students and teachers in Romania we had online meeting between teachers and students where they getting to know each other.
At 29.4.2022 students from all partner countries had online meeting which was organized by coordinator from Romania Adina Oancea. The host school presented by teacher Madalina Sibisan and students Alexia, Adara, Seby, Stefan, Vlad, Deniz and Diana. First all students introduce themselves then students from Romania presented their school, city and what we will doing during visit in Romania (schedule).
Our second LTT (Learning Teaching Training) was held in OŠ “Sveti Sava” Kikinda, Serbia during 20-26. March 2022.
During five working days, we worked together on the activities predicted by our project. The main topic of activities was “Make a game” related to the goal of the project.
Day one Welcoming day and first workshops
On Monday we walked from the Dormitory to the town square and got acquainted with the sights of the city. The guide was teacher Miroslav Grujić. In the school dining room, the participants were greeted by teacher Danilo Borovnica, project coordinator for Serbia and Gordana Rackov, school director. Then the participants introduced themselves and their schools and cities. All participants received gifts and served traditional dishes from this area.
The first workshop “We measure like Eratosthenes” was held by teacher Danilo Borovnica. Participants conducted a 25-century-old experiment to measure the circumference of the Earth. In the afternoon, the students had two workshops on programming and making games. Teacher Arpad Pastor held a workshop where students used a platform to make the game Thunkable, and teacher Danilo Borovnica held a workshop where students used a platform with Augmented Reality.
The last preparations for our second mobility of students and teachers in Serbia are coming to an end. As part of these preparations, we also had several online meetings between coordinators and one online meeting between students where they getting to know each other.
At 11.3.2022 students from all partner countries had online meeting which was organized by coordinator from Serbia Danilo Borovnica. It was a great gathering where the students talked about themselves and their interests.
Students introduced their highs schools to each other, and were welcomed by the head of the school: D. Francisco Manuel Pérez Arco.
After that, the students split into groups to work together in the first activity: a gymkhana through the different areas the school has: the Science laboratory, Natural Sciences museum, Old library and Old University’s courtyard.
During the break, the PTA offered a breakfast and a typical Spanish dancing show: “Sevillanas”
In the afternoon, a professor expert in Baeza’s Heritage, Dra. María Dolores Higueras Quesada, prepared a short walk in which the students could learn about the mathematical proportions in Baezan architecture.
Serbian students report of our first LTT (Learning Teaching Training) in IES Santísima Trinidad, Baeza, Spain during 31.1-5.2.2022.
After a big breakfast our task was to make an international catalogue about measuring instruments in IT classroom of Santisima Trinidad school. Every group had to do one part of the workshop – design, personal experience, introduction and coomparing measuring instruments. We had to do a litlle research and go through teacher’s Azucena presentation and after that the informations which we found were put in the catalogue. Then we had a cofee break and after that we continue with work. At 4 pm, a bus left for Ùbeda.
After half hour we arrived and took a walk to olive grow interpretation center. After tour we went in a special room and the guide thought us how to be proffesional olive oil tester. We drank two different kinds of oil and discussed about them. At the end of the sightseeing we visited and heard from guide many interesting things about different buildings from the renaissanse era. Also there was a free time that lasted about 45 minutes. Then we came back to Baeza and had a dinner.
We woke up so early in the morning and went to Granada in Spain. We visited fortress Alhambra and we had two guides who took us trough it. They told us so much about muslims’ culture and Spain’s history. That was so interesting because we were there for around 3 hours and we learned something new. Later we had some extra time in city, when we had lunch and went to stores. Then we had opportunity to go in Science park. We were so impresed because we didn’t see nothing similar before that. First we watched a film about scientist Asher and his knowledge about astrology. After that we saw show with birds, owls and eagles. Then we had to do a few tasks where we had to explore a building where we were. Later we had two guides that told us about biology, geography plus more astrology. We learned a lot of new interesting stuff that will help us in further activities that we fell asleep out of tiredness.
Third day started with a trip to Jaén. It was so beautiful experience because we saw for the first time big Spain city. First thing what we did is visit Palacio de Villardompardo where we had traditional measuring instrument hunt. After that we had some free time to explore the city. We came back to Baeza, had lunch and rest. Then we went to school’s laboratory where we tried to make thermometer in groups that we made in first day. It was so amazing doing experiments and we learnt so much about instruments in chemistry.
Third day started with a trip to Jaén. It was so beautiful experience because we saw for the first time big spanish city. First thing what we did is visit Palacio de Villardompardo where we were hunting for old measuring instruments. We separated in few groups like day before and our friends from Spain helped us to search for them. When we found exhibits we had to write the information of each and take a photos of them. At the end we had a tour through the museum. After that we had some free time to explore the city. We came back to Baeza, had lunch and finally rest. Around half past 5 we went to the school’s laboratory to learn more about chemical vessels and to construct thermometers in their groups. It was an amazing experiance which will help us in further educating.

After breakfast at 9:30am we had a welcome at “Santísima Trinidad” high school. The first of all, all schools presented themselves, city and school. Then we had a coffee break where we had an opportunity to watch how girls from school dance “Flamenko”. It was so beautiful and we all enjoyed it. Then we had a banquet with churos and many more traditional food from this region. Later students separated in few groups and competed themselves in a treasure hunt. The “Muchacho” group won. After a lunch and a nap we had a walk in the city while we talked about mathematical proportions in architecture. It was so interesting and we learned a lot about buildings in Baeza.
First day actually wasn’t the first, because day before we got tested and were preparing for the trip. Unfortunately teacher Tanja wasn’t able to come with us in Spain, because she was positive on test. That day was so stressful because we didn’t know how tests will turn out. We headed to Belgrade at 3am. We arrived so early in the morning because our flight to Frankfurt was at 7am. That flight was so interesting for us because it was our first time travelling so far away from home by airplane. But the more interesting thing is that we had two flights so we could come to the Madrid. That flight was stressful because it was so turbulent, but we still had a great time. When we finally arrived in Madrid, Azucena, the main coordinator, welcomed us with the team from Hungary. We met each other and talked about ourselves and what we love. In the meantime the students from Croatia came and then we started our last part of a trip, travelling by bus to Baeza. We were very tired but we were also so excited. Then we had dinner where we were talking and making jokes with our new friends and after long day we finally got our rooms and fall asleep .
